Hi Louise,
We can certainly understand your eagerness to get going in your chosen field. Your post will stay up here, so hopefully you will be able to find an apprenticeship. Other than that, what are you doing to find an apprenticeship in Wales?
-- Contributed by: Jacqueline Dautajhi i was wondering if anybody has any apprenticeships available in make up artistry. i am currently studying a-levels in college, but i am getting bored and want to get out in the work world and do make up artistry NOW! :) i am living in Wales but don't mind travelling overseas or nationally. thanks

The best thing you can do is to leave a comment for Robert directly. Thank You!
-- Contributed by: Jacqueline DautajHi Robert, I am a former Mary Kay consultant. I have attended numerous training sessions with you. My biggest regret in leaving my business is the lose of my passion for teaching women skin care and makeup techiques. With that said, how would someone like myself start in makeup artistry. I am 50+ and prefer not to go back to school for a year. Thank you in advance for your response.
-- Contributed by: BarbaraHi Sonia,
What did the school you are studying at tell you? You should listen to them because they would understand how things are done (makeup-wise) in Australia. That said, we wish you much luck and success in your new career!

-- Contributed by: tabby-leeHi Robert,
Perhaps the best thing you can do is hit the pavement. Visit the local department stores in the area and see if there's something you can offer them that they don't have right now. The best thing you can do is to try to carve out a niche for yourself.
As for training, try to find some schools in the area. Not only would they be able to provide continued training, but hopefully they'll also be able to assist you with internship opportunities. Good luck to you in San Francisco! We sincerely hope that things work out well!
-- Contributed by: Jacqueline Dautajhello- i am a trained makeup artist with about 10 years experience, primarily in high-end retail, salon environments (i have an esthetican license), airbrush makeup and some celebrity film & editorial projects in los angeles . i am new to san francisco and hoping to locate resources to continuing esthetics training, eyelash extensions, employment referral and particularly local internship opportunities. any information you can provide would be greatly helpful. thank you very much.
