hello :]

I am Indian and have a lot of issues!!! :

1. I have a warm pale yellow undertone skin color thru'out my torso but my face and neck vary , my face is more pinkish pale creamy and the yellow hue somehow seems to vanish. Tho' my skin is almost clear( apart from few pores on my cheeks and some pink/red vein bursts ), it looks likes i had the monkey pinch all over my face. The mis-match really concerns me , as i am not used to using foundation all over my face and neck. I just use a base moisturizer followed by a concealer stick( where ever needed) , loose powder , eye khol and matte nude lip color. PLS HELP ( i really don't want foundation on my full face , i have oily skin on my T-zone and my face tends to sweat a lot!! really a lot, specially my forehead ).

2. My upper lip is about 2 shades darker than my lower lip. Applying glossy lipstick shows off this defect more. Thick coats of Lipstick gives me a very made up look , which i detest .

3. I have black , medium thick and long eyebrows which i have never shaped( religious issues ).Tho' they look shaped and fine ( apart from a close up look - few stands below and above random ) ,I have no idea how to apply any makeup on my eyes . Pls suggest someway , i have big wide almond shaped eyes , color of semi-opaque scotch .

4. I have quiet chubby cheeks , and when i smile i get dimples . My left cheek dimple is much more deeper than my right . This asymmetry for some reason adds more volume to my right side .

pardon me on asking too many questions , just that I am getting married pretty soon and I am worried sick!!

Have you tried Bobbi Brown? Her makeup looks incredibly natural and she has a wide selection of foundations that look amazingly natural, but also match your skin ton (exactly). i am a dark skinned sri lankan girl. What kinda of make up would you recommend me? and from which brand maybe? cuz im havin difficulties to find the right tone for my skin. We have different skin tones than Africans e.g. thatz why.

Hi Nahida,

Your complexion sounds beautiful! You say you have light colored brown eyes, so try using a deep blue or purple eyeliner to rim your eyes all the way around (top and bottom). That will bring a lot of attention, and should look great with your coloring.

You can also use a gold glittery eyeliner to line the insides of your eyes (the part closest to the nose). That will also look terrific. Thank you for the post and good luck!

The features you describe sound beautiful! Why would you want to hide that? I don't think there's anyway you can look more "Indian", but you can look like your very best self.

Since you have blue eyes, I would like you to take a look at some of our makeup tips for blue eyes (that might help a lot).

Im a mixed indian girl and I came out white, blue eyed but indian coloured hair(dark almost black hair) I wear make up regularly but Im not sure if Im doing it properly. I usually wear just foundation for my skin colour and a light blush but I want to look somewhat indian and inhans my indian looks(many I dont have) please help and maybe suggest some colours that complament indian skins to make me look more like im indian!!!!! HELP!

I know most things about eyemake up and how to apply it. the one thing i have trouble with though is eyeliner. its harder for me to apply it to my lower lids then on top. it always comes off. are you supposed to put it on the inner part of the lower lid above lower eyelashes? thats how many do it but i havent found any that will stay put. if you could please help with some techniques or a brand that would be great . thanx
