I wish makeup manufactures would provide books on how to apply the makeup in clear step by step instuructions, like the new Loreal Bare Naturale. What are the steps in appling the makeup, I know the foundation is first or is the under eye concealer first. Onc the foundation and concealer are apply whats next, the eya shadow? If so please give instructions on were to use the colors and how, Loreal does this on their wear infinite and even has colors numbered, this is a great help. But then comes the glow gare naturale and the bare naturale finiah powder, what comes first the finish powder or the Glow? When you pay the prices we pay for the good stuff, we should be told how and when to apply it

That was a very well explained article, you explained everything in a simple and to the point. Very well done. What if you have blueish, greenish and brownish eyes.(I know strange but I have more than one colour, what do I do about it?)

Hi Kath,

No, you can definitely do an attractive smokey eye look. What you'll need to do is to use colors that work with your skin and hair.

Try this article:

Although this article also talks about green eyes, but you can just ignore that part. Pay attention to the list of colors that work with red hair and fair skin. You can use the recommended colors to achieve the smoky eye look. For more help on how to apply that look, please try these articles:

Hi Rottimom,

First, what a brave individual you are- that must have been very difficult. Now, for the lashes. What you need to do is:

  • First, invest in a really good eye pencil that is designed to be applied on the sensitive parts of the eye (try one from Laura Mercier - just click on the link to see them).
  • Next, apply the eyeliner, in a flattering shade, to the part of the eye that is under the top lashes (you'll have to lift the lid up slightly). This part of the eye is very sensitive, and that's why you'll need an eyeliner that won't irritate it.
  • After this has been done, go ahead and apply the eyeliner on the lid of the eye in the typical manner (you can draw a thick line etc).
  • From there, decide if you'd like to apply eyeshadow.

If you are going to go with eyeshadows and liners, then apply the base of the eyeshadow first (the lightest color) all over you eye lid, then apply the eyeliner and then follow up with the rest of the eyeshadows.

How are you doing with the brows? If you are looking for a good eye brow pencil, try one from Revlon. You can find one here: Walgreen's

You can also find it at Drugstore.com for a bit cheaper than Walgreen's.

If you have any more questions, please feel free to post it here, and we'll be happy to get back to you. Thanks for the question, and we wish you the best of luck!

Can you please let me know how to apply eye make up without eyelashes. I lost my brows and lashes during Chemo and eye makeup just doesn't look right without them. Especially the eyelashes. Please give me some hints asap.
