Hi Christin,

One thing you could do is focus on your eyes. Think about experimenting with glitter eye shadows or pencils (place in the corner of your eyes) to give you that "pop". You can also try some of the new shimmer washes on the market ( Bobbi Brown makes a few.

This is a tough one! The best thing you can do is write the companies directly and see if they can help you. You should be able to get free samples, but I'm not sure how the process would work there. Thanks for your question. Two great sites to try for makeup for African American women are Iman Cosmetics and Bobbi Brown Makeup.

Iman is a really good one to try because besides being a gorgeous, internationally know supermodel, the sole purpose of her makeup line is to provide quality makeup for women of color.

Bobbi Brown's great too. She's known for her top-notch quality products, and the way they seem to effortlessly blend into the skin.
