My trick for applying eyelashes: go easy on the glue. I usually put some adhesive on a piece of cardboard or plastic (the trays the lashes come in work great - you can peel the glue off after it dries) & then use a bobby pin or hair pin to apply a very thin line of glue to the strip. Let it set 15-30 seconds so the glue is slightly tacky & then apply as close to your lash line as possible. This minimizes sliding.

Also, in addition to trimming the length, you may need to trim the width of the lashes so they fit your eyes and don't hang off the end. This will make them look and feel better.

Hi Jenna,

Great questions! Okay, first, apply the eyeliner after the lashes. Next, you can curl the natural lashes before you apply, but try it both ways and see which works best for you.

As for using mascara, apply one coat, and see how it looks. Do you need more? If yes, then go ahead and apply another coat. Try not to use more than two coats though. I hope this helps and don't wory, you'll look fabulous!

Thanks for these helpful hints, I feel like a novice when it comes to false lashes. Are you supposed to apply eyeliner before or after the lashes? And do you curl the natural lashes before applying? Is it ok to put mascara on false lashes or will it be clumpy and heavy?? Any help would be appreciated! Thanks for your site, I use it often!
