I have an odd face shape, and I do not believe it fits into any of these categories. My friend calls it the "upside-down tear drop". It is not a heart shape, or a circle, but something in between. I cannot find anything on it for help on hair/make up. Help?

My face is round. I have thick eyebrows and a big nose. My lips are full too. I want to know if a high arch eyebrow will do the trick for me. I also need some hairstyles that will help lenghten my face.

I have been confused about face shapes my whole life! When i look into the mirror, i look like an oval at times. But when i look again, i look like a round face because of my cheeks. But now i look into the mirror, it turns to square and they always alternate! Help!

Hi Mandy,

Heart shapes are usually very beautiful. Are you tilting your head down slightly when you smile? If not, that's the first thing you should be doing (otherwise, the camera is "full-on" which can make you look large). You can also try "smiling" with your eyes (Tyra Banks is always telling the models on America's Next Top model to do this). In terms of makeup, also try to go with a matte face (foundation or powder) so that you don't look shiny. You could also try contouring your cheeks with bronzer to give a more "slimming" effect. Personally, the head titled downwards and slightly to the side always looks fantastic. Thanks for the question and good luck!

I have a heart shape face and when I look in the mirror I think I look fabulous but when I have my picture taken I look horrible. I don't understand what the deal is. My nose looks large and my eyes look tiny. Is there any advice you could give me to looking good in pictures? Maybe I'm doing something wrong with my makeup and hair style. Please help. Thank you

Hi Stephanie,

Have you tried the contouring that was recommended under the "Round" face shape? That should work. Also, try putting the focus on your eyes (think about adding a little bit of glittery powder to the inner corners of your eyes for a more "fierce" look. You can also just try playing up the naturally youthful look that comes from have rounder cheeks, so invest in a really good blush. Thanks for the question and good luck!

i have a round face but my cheeks are really huge! do u have any good tips to make my cheeks appear AL0T smaller? when i smile u can diffenitly see how big and wide my cheeks get! it would diffenitly be appreciated, or if u know any excercises that actually work! =]

THANKS!!! I always thought that i had a square face, somewhat like my mom's, but it turns out that i have a round face. Thanks for posting this up before i put on my makeup not suitable for my face shape.
