The best makeup colors for you would be grey, charcoal, brown, gold/silver. blue and dark green. Anyone of these color combination should work well with your skin tone and coloring. Thank you for the question and good luck at the dance!

-- Contributed by: Jacqueline DautajSomeone HELP ME PLEASE!!! the homecoming dance is coming up at my school and I need help with makeup I have no idea what to do!! i have the intense i-color kit (minus mascara) mentioned above but my big sis said that purple wasnt a good color for me. so if anyone can help me out I would be SO grateful!!!
-- Contributed by: Blondie26Hi Nat,
I'm so sorry to hear that! Why is it not working on you? What's your skin tone? Maybe you just haven't found the right shade of purple, etc.
Okay, being as that is, what shade works best on you? Champagnes? How do you look in gold (that's a variation of the champagne color, so it may work well)? Another thing you can do, is first, place champagne colored eyeshadow all over your lid. Then, take a gold or yellow sparkly eyeliner and apply it only to the inner most corners of your eyes. This will give your eyes a terrific glow (like the way Alicia Keys wears sliver in the corner of her eyes). Please try it and let us know how it looks. Thanks for the post and good luck!
-- Contributed by: Jacqueline DautajI want to look vibrant and use colors like teals, even though i've discovered that champagnes and stupid dull colors look better on me. I know purple is supposed to look good, but i feel ugly in it. HELP!!!
-- Contributed by: NatHi Jenny,
Because you have brown eyes, you can pull off almost any shade of eye color. Try:
- Purple
- Blues
- Browns
- Black
- Gold
- Silver
All of these colors would work great. Thanks for the question!
-- Contributed by: Jacqueline DautajI have pale skin. What shades would work best for me?
-- Contributed by: JennyHi Brown eyed confusion,
With gorgeous brown eyes, there's no need to hide behind simple brown and white. Play up the contrasts by reaching for shades in turquoise, purple and gold and silver (if your skin tone allows for it). These colors will look amazing on brown eyes!
-- Contributed by: Jacqueline DautajHi Beyanka,
Your dress sounds beautiful! Play up your eyes by first applying a champagne or vanilla color all over the eyes (this is your base color) and follow up with either a brown or purple eyeliner. For added oomph, take a silver pencil and add it only in the corners of your eyes (the closest part towards your nose).
You can find some great eye shadow shades at: Bobbi Brown
Don't forget to curl your lashes with an eyelash curler and to apply a few coats of mascara. If you don't like the clumpy look of mascara, try a clear one from Maybelline. You can find it at Walgreen's
Thanks for the question, and have a great time!
-- Contributed by: Jacqueline DautajHi, I usually wear a white eyeshade with a brown overlay, what else would look amazing besides brown and white?
-- Contributed by: Brown eyed confusionmy homecoming dress is light blue and i was wondering what colors would look right. im brown skinned with brown eyes.
-- Contributed by: beyankaHi Hopeless,
Of course there's hope for you! Do you have a specific question? If you do, please post it here. We would be more than happy to help you! Please go ahead, and write back.
-- Contributed by: Jacqueline Dautajno help for me but maybe for others thanx
-- Contributed by: hopelesslydesparatelonleygirlHi Gem,
Your dress sounds perfect (yellow always looks great with dark hair!). Usually I tell folks to go with a purple color because it makes brown eyes "pop" so well, but I don't want you to do that.
Instead, think about using shades of cream (as a base color and a highlighter color for your brows), a deep sable color (check Bobbi Brown for some terrific shades) and match that with a deep brown eyeliner (it's up to you to decide whether you want to line both the tops and bottoms of the eye- go with what looks best). In addition to the above, if you really want to stand out, think about using a gold eyeliner just in the corners of your eyes (the area closest to your nose). This will really make you stand out and look beautiful! Thanks for the question and we wish you the best of luck on your big day!
-- Contributed by: Jacqueline Dautajhi i am wearing a bright yellow dress to my graduation, I have brown eyes, brown hair, what eye shadow color should i wear ? Thanks for your help
-- Contributed by: GemHi Lindsey,
Your dress sounds beautiful! You have a great color combination going with your brown eyes and white dress- the trick here is not to clash with the red flowers. Try then a smoky look. See these articles for help:
The other thing you can do is keep your eye relatively simple, and instead go for bold, lush, red lips! Try this gallery for some photos for inspiration:
Thanks for the question and have a great time at the prom!
-- Contributed by: Jacqueline DautajI have a white dress for senior prom with red lace flowers covering the breasts. I have no idea what to do with my make-up that would look right with the dress. I want my brown eyes to pop and be noticed as much as my dress. any ideas?
