Hi Candis,

You're question is very specific, so I recommend that you contact Dr. Gross at his website (please see the last paragraph of the above article). This way, you'll be able to get an answer directly from the source. Thanks so much for your post!

In mineral make-up, Iron Oxides are used for color correct? (Iron is a variable oxidation state metal, so it gives off different colors dependingo n its oxidation state). So is it essentially rust, and if so can the iron oxides oxidize the skin significantly to where mineral make up will age the skin and cause more problems than regular liquids and creams? I work a lot with bare minerals at work (as well as your skin care line, and I think it is amazing!) and I wonder about the Iron Oxides very much, would the use of your chelator enriched hydra pure spray neutralize the iron oxides if they are a problem?

Hi Sharon,

According to most experts, they are. The most important thing you can do is to observe how your skin is reacting to these minerals. Is there any redness? Bumps? Irritation? If yes, then you should probably discontinue use. If not though, then it should be perfectly fine to use. Thanks for the question!

My mineral makeup contains zinc oxide and iron oxide, as well as titanium dioxide. Are those skin healthy minerals?
