Hi Jade-lee,
As you can probably tell from the others comments that have been left here, that many, many people feel exactly the same way you do. Thanks so much for sharing with us here!
-- Contributed by: Jacqueline Dautaji can't believe it!! animals are so kind, they love you without any conditions...yet for the sake of our fake beauty...they suffer, not cool come on people!!we need to make a change.
-- Contributed by: jade-leeHi Jeannie,
Many people feel the exact same way you do. The best thing you can do, similar to Kathryn, is to contact your local representative and voice your concerns. Thanks so much for sharing with us here!
-- Contributed by: Jacqueline DautajHi Kathryn,
It is terrible. The best thing you can do is to contact your local representative, and air your concerns. Thank you for posting with us here!
-- Contributed by: Jacqueline Dautaji'm a freshman in college and i had to write a topic on how the world is a cruel place....and i chose animal cruelty in cosmetics.... and i think this is they should stop testing on animals. what makes the differnece... animals are like humans too? it is very depressing seeing what the world is coming to...
-- Contributed by: Jeanniei am doing this topic for a report i think this is horrible and terrible and discusting what our world has come to
-- Contributed by: kathrynHi Gee,
You and a lot of other people agree. I'm not sure why we can't find another way to test our products. Please think about contacting your Congress person (scroll through the other comments, you'll find a link there). Thanks for sharing with us!
-- Contributed by: Jacqueline Dautajthis is disgusting, what has the world come to!? i'm sure that more people would stand up and say that this is wrong and immoral if it was happening to a human, but there isn't really a difference! it's so cruel. i came across this website while researching the topic of cosmetic animal testing for a speech, and it made me sick to the stomach.
-- Contributed by: gee.Hi Amanda,
Yep, a lot of people think that it is very cruel, so you are not alone. Thanks for taking the time to join the conversation here with us!
-- Contributed by: Jacqueline Dautajoomggg!!! thats so cruel to torture animals like that...it shuld be illegal. . . . i dont get why people dont just use the alternitive.. im only 13, i understand that it is pretty nessisary to test medicine, and stuff.. but i dont see why we have to use animals to test makeup.
-- Contributed by: amandaHi Paige,
I'm so happy that you've made this your topic- it's a very important one. What may help is if you click the "See All Comments" on this article button; there are quite a few websites listed in the stream. Good luck on your project!
-- Contributed by: Jacqueline Dautajthank you for all of this information about makeup testing on animals. i am 100% against this & currently am i working on a speech project & this is my topic. i hope tht i can be able to persuade more people to support makeup tht is not tested on animals by my speech. let me know if u know any more websites or aricles about this topic. thanks. paige <3
-- Contributed by: PaigeHi Tayla,
I think that's a great idea! And you are right, if it was clearly spelled out on the product, people probably wouldn't buy it. Why don't you contact your local Congress-person and ask them to sponsor a bill like that? I'm sure everybody who's commented on this article would support it. Thank you for the post!
-- Contributed by: Jacqueline Dautajpeople need to be INFORMED OF THESE PRODUCTS! it needs to be CLEARLY displayed on the product, as to whether it's been tested in animals! people need to stand up! of they do, it won't prove beneficial for make up companies, & hopefully they'll STOP!
-- Contributed by: taylaHi Hannah,
I know it's ureal what some people do to animals, or what they are willing to do in the name of science. Thank you for sharing with us!
-- Contributed by: Jacqueline DautajHi Amanda,
A lot of people agree with you, and I think it's wonderful that you and your friends feel strongly enough to take action! Thank you so much for taking the time to share with us here!
-- Contributed by: Jacqueline Dautajthere should not ever have been any type of testing on animals testing in the first place. They should be left in the wild to live on there own. we the people should be the ones that make up is tested on since we want to wear the make up. the animals are foced aganisted ther will to do this and i think that that is wrong. YOU ALL THAT ARE TESTING ON THE ANIMALS SHOULD BE ASHAMED OF YOUR SELFS!!!!!!!!!!! THESE ANIMALS HAVE KNOW IDEA WHAT IS GOING ON AND YOU JUST END THERE LIVES!!!!!! I AM APALLED AT HOW YOU ALL ARE TREATING THAESE ANIMALS LIKE IF THEY HAVE KNOW LIVES!! WELL NOW YOUR LIFE IS JUST A WASTE OF HUMAN LFES!!!!! AND I WILL NEVER BUY MAKE UP AGAIN AND NITHER WILL ANY OF THE PEOPLE I KNOW AND WE ALL PLAN TO START A STRIKE AGAINST ANIMAL TESTING AND MAKE UP!!!!!!!!
-- Contributed by: amanda medinathis is so wrong to hurt animals just to help people we should be ashamed what has america come to?
-- Contributed by: hannahPS- Michaela,
If that link doesn't help, try this one: Congress Home. Thanks again for the comment.
-- Contributed by: Jacqueline DautajHi Michaela,
Many of us couldn't agree with you more! Please take action by writing your local Congress person and telling them that we need new rules to make sure than animals are not tested upon. We truly appreciate you comment!
-- Contributed by: Jacqueline Dautajomg cant belive you would test make up on animals its not fair the sould be free and not smutherd in stuff that may have an afect on the animals should get a grip of your selfs!!! NOT HAPPY

-- Contributed by: kelseyHi Keana,

-- Contributed by: Jacqueline Dautajit is terrible and discusting !
-- Contributed by: keanaHi Catherine,
I'm very sorry to hear that, but as you probably already know, many sites do that for security purposes. Unfortunately, you'll just have to paraphrase the information recorded here. Additionally, don't forget to site your source, as you wouldn't want to plagiarize. Thank you for the comment and good luck on your speech!
-- Contributed by: Jacqueline Dautaji cant print off this page for a speech!!!!!!!
-- Contributed by: catherineHi Animal Lover,
We can certainly understand your passion for this subject. Thank you for lending your voice here and joining the conversation!
-- Contributed by: Jacqueline Dautaji really strongly belive that all anmial testing shopyuld be illeagl ion the us.... not only for the animals expesnce but for the world..... 25 to 50 billoin anmals die each year.. since there are new ways to test... humn skin cell.. check sanples.. so why if we have invenbtive wau=ys should we go basck to anmials.:]

We understand your anger. Please see the comment left for Daisy. We really think that folks like you should get together and write letters, etc. to help stop this practice. Thanks again for contributing here with us!
-- Contributed by: Jacqueline DautajHi Daisy,
We understand your anger completely. Why not get involved with an animal rights organization. This way you can unite with others to stop this practice. Thank you for sharing with us- we appreciate it!

-- Contributed by: Jacqueline DautajWhich beauty and cosmetic companies still use animal testings for there products.
-- Contributed by: James MorrisHi Tyler,
That's a great question. We'll keep it posted here so that someone with the correct answer will see it and answer it for you. Thank You!
-- Contributed by: Jacqueline Dautajdoes any 1 no what the labs do 2 animals after they have tested them with make up
-- Contributed by: tylerHi Angela,
We understand the passionate response of concerned citizens like you. That's why we urge you to click on some of the links under the "Additional Information" header. This way you can get involved and stay involved. Thanks for sharing here!
-- Contributed by: Jacqueline Dautajdespite what anyone thinks, animals have feelings too. if you were perhaps a rabbit, would you want products being tested on you. animals have hearts as well as us. maybe you should find different practices, that don't refer using animals!
-- Contributed by: angelaHi SarahsaysNO,
Please keep in mind the LTK is not supporting cosmetic animal testing in the least, we are just trying to give information on that subject. That said, please see the See All Comments on this article link to find other resources you can look into (to make your opinion known). Thanks very much for joining the conversation here!
-- Contributed by: Jacqueline Dautajthis is an outrage.
-- Contributed by: sarahsaysNOHi Jesse and Kate,
We completely agree with you- testing on animals should not be done if it can be helped. On that note, please click on the "See All Comments on this article" link. There, you'll be able to see some websites posted on how to make your opinion heard. Thanks very much for your passionate comment.
-- Contributed by: Jacqueline DautajYou make me sick. You sick people, you should be the one that gets tested on ! animals and humans should have the same rights.
You can't seriously expect people to think that your doing the right thing. You really ruined our day. Animals are just as importan, they have feelings too. I would rather suffer then have an animal suffer for me !
Peace.
-- Contributed by: Jesse and KateHi John,
Well, if you take it in a wide context, I'm sure you could understand what we mean by that- think about all of the experiments that humankind as done- and we usually do them on animals first.
Other than that, I'm glad you enjoyed the article! Good luck on your research paper- I'm sure it will turn out great!
-- Contributed by: Jacqueline DautajIm doing a research paper on The benefits to Society from Animal Experimentation. The thing that i didn't buy about this sight was when you said "Animals have been used in testing for over 2,000 years and the debate has been going on for just as long". I cannot believe that you have any information on the debate going on at that time. Other than that i thought you gave good information.
-- Contributed by: JohnHi Ellie,
Great topic! You can check out the full list of companies that test on animals here:
That should give you enough information to get going on your project. Good luck!
Thanks very much for your comment!

-- Contributed by: ellieim doing a project on animal testing at my school could u please give me any information? thanks ellie ,10
-- Contributed by: ellieHi kk,
While I can understand your concern, please know that we, LTK Makeup, do not manufacture any type of cosmetics, so no, we use know animals. Thank You!
-- Contributed by: Jacqueline Dautajdo you use animals
-- Contributed by: kkHi Danielle and Liz,
You both have very strong feelings on this subject and we commend you for that. If you'd like to get involved or do something, please see the link in the article (under Additional Information) for PETA. This way, you can continue making your voices heard. Thanks very much for the post!
-- Contributed by: Jacqueline Dautajthey should ban testing forever it is killing poor animals who never did anything to you so we should al work togher and stop this crulenss!!
-- Contributed by: daniellemaking innocent animals suffer and die just to make us pretty is wrong. The government claims it's for scientific research so they dont get fined, but if some average-joe did something like scientists do then they would be fined and sent off to jail. if only the public new more about this and we raised some awareness, then maybe we could all join together and stop animal testing!
-- Contributed by: LizHi Monica,
Many, many people feel the exact way you do. Hopefully technology will advance far enough so that we don't have to test on animals. Thanks so much for your post.
-- Contributed by: Jacqueline Dautajthey should just use cells nstead of the animals tht is sooo mean i think we should not by anything which they use animal testing it is just plain WRONG!!! =(
-- Contributed by: monicaHi Breana,
Thanks for joining the conversation here. Many people feel exactly the way you do and hopefully this chorus of voices will grow stronger until the beauty industry finally begins to really listen. Thanks again!
-- Contributed by: Jacqueline DautajI don't understand why they animal test... look at all the good products we have that are agianst it and they are some of the most popular.. i feel that the products that do anaimal test don 't even work that good... and why animals? they aren't the same as us not even close.... we have different reactions.. it's piontless it needs to come to an end!!! i abslolutely and positively agree :D
-- Contributed by: Breana Cheree BagnaschiHi Eden,
Thanks for contributing. Volunteering for these tests is the right way to go. It's our sincere hope that the makeup companies out there understand how strongly most of us feel about testing on animals. Thanks for making your voice heard!
-- Contributed by: Jacqueline DautajI believe that volunteering is the way to go in testing products. At least the subject would have a choice in whether to participate or not. it really does not matter about their economic status just the fact they had the option is enough. pick up a little animal and listen to its little heart beating and know that all those animals that are in labs right now have the same rhythm of the heart, and just cant understand why no one loves them and why they are suffering.
-- Contributed by: eden fortierHi Sean,
We couldn't agree more! This is a very complicated issue with advantages and disadvantages that glare on both sides of the argument. Thanks very much for joining the conversation!
-- Contributed by: Jacqueline DautajI don't support testing on animals, but I though of an interesting point today. So we don't test on animals, we instead test on volunteers. These volunteers are quite possibly risking life and limb for the assurance that the finalized product will be safe. What I don't agree with is the manner in which many of the companies come up with these volunteers. Most offer a very small compensation, or even only free product. Overwhelmingly the individuals that would take part in such a test would come from the lowest economic demographic in the country. So next time you see a "not tested on animals" sign, realize that it actually should read "Tested on the Poor!" We need to come up with a better solution.
-- Contributed by: SeanHi Emily,
Please go to www.caringconsumer.com/pdfs/companiesDo Test.pdf for a complete list of companies that conduct animal testing. Thanks for your comment and good luck with your article!

-- Contributed by: KassieHi Courtney,
I hate to say this, but I did some research and it seems as if they do. You can check out the full list of companies that test on animals here:

-- Contributed by: ms emily parkinsonHi DLO,
We couldn't agree more. It's only through the efforts of concerned folks like you that this abominable practice will finally be stopped. Thanks for your comment!
-- Contributed by: Jacqueline Dautaji want to be a vet one day and this makes me very sick that people who probably go home to their dogs everynight could do this to other innocent animals
-- Contributed by: DLOThank you for sharing! Many people feel the exact same way you do!

-- Contributed by: x zoe xHi Breanna,
Thanks for sharing. We have no doubt that many folks out there feel the same way you do, so your comment will help a lot!
-- Contributed by: Jacqueline Dautajanimal testing is stupid and cruel. why should animals die and suffer just to make ourselves look better as people ? it amkes no sense. i have just now found out today that people have been using animals for testing for over 2000 years, that is very disappointing. obviously most people do not care about this. and it's ashame. it's things like animal testing and animal cruelty that make me feel ashamed to be a human.i am 13 years old and i will fight until the day i die to end this.
-- Contributed by: breannaHi Teresa,
First, we completely understand your horror at this horrible practice. The prevailing thought for some companies is that it's safer to test on animals before giving the products to humans. But because of concerned citizens like you getting involved, the practice is slowly, but surely changing.
The best thing you can do is to get involved. Write or call your congress representatives (go to www.house.gov/writerep.com for a list of email addresses and phone numbers. It's only through voicing our concerns and speaking out can this horrible practice stop. Thank you for your question and remember to stay involved!
MY NAME IS TERESA I AM 13 I REAL VERY SICK COS I WAS LOOKING ON PETA AND I FEAL VERY UPSET 4 THOES ANIMALS THERE ARE LODS DIEING EVERY DAY
-- Contributed by: TERESAWHY DO PEOPLE TEST MAKEUP ON ANIMALS
-- Contributed by: TERESAHi Farrah,
First thank you for your question. It's always nice to see that people are interested in learning more about the subject of animal testing.
Since it would take a dissertation to fully answer all of your questions, here's what we do know. These folks don't do animal testing:
- Bath and Body Works
- The Body Bakery
- The Body Shop
- Kiss My Face
Note that this is a short list. There are many companies that abhor this barbaric practice. Research your questions on Google and you'll be sure to come up with a full list.
If you'd like to join the fight against animal testing, consider joining People for the Ethical Treatment of Animals (PETA), or some like-minded group.
As for when this will end, it will truly only end when concerned citizens like yourself speak up, write your congress-person, and become involved with reputable organizations.
We hope some of the information here helps you on your journey. Good luck!

Hi Natasha,
We applaud you wanting to know more about this very serious topic. Type in your question at Google and you will immediately get a list of some of the companies that still test on animals. Here are a few of the companies that I found:
- Johnson & Johnson (on their Aveeno, Clean and Clear and Neutrogena products)
- Gillette
- Braun
I hope this goes a long way in helping to answer your question!
