Hi Mary,

Yes, it's true- many people enjoy this makeup mirror (as we can see by all the comments). Have you thought about contacting the company and asking them? Maybe they can give you an answer. Thanks for sharing here!

I love my mirror and wonder why they don't make it anymore since it sounds like I am not the only one who loves it

I don't want to contradict Jacqueline, but I just ordered to replacement bulbs for my TTL mirror at replacementbulbs.com. Actually spoke to a very helpful man who said that the F6T5/TTL bulb is now model F6T5/D...2.00 a piece. Wouldn't trade this mirror for the world!!

I am still using a TRUE-to-LIGHT MIRROR by Clairol that I've had since 1970. 39 years of service is a GREAT product. It' the most reliable appliance I have ever purchased. It will probably out live me!

Hi Margaret,

I'm sorry to tell you this, but the only place, short of writing the company, to get the replacement bulb may be to search for it on EBay. We wish you the best of luck finding it and hopefully one of the visitors will see your post and get back to you!

Hi Lois,

That's a toughie. Your best bet is to search on amazon.com or Ebay. At least the good news is that you'll probably find a great price at both of these online stores. Thanks for your question and good luck!

-- Contributed by: lois

Hi Joanna,

Unfortunately, that doesn’t seem to be advertised anywhere. However, don't let that stop you! Contact Clairol directly at www.clairol.com and ask them under the "contact us" link. Thanks for your question and good luck!

Hi Gina,

These mirrors really are terrific, aren't they? Ok, the best thing you can do is try Ebay. They have a ton of replacement mirrors at very reasonable prices. Good luck to you and we hope this helps!

I also have a True to Light Clairol mirror, model LM-8 that was purchased when I was 17 (38 years ago). My 17 yr old daughter has used it for the past 10 years, and the side door mirror has broken. Any ideas where I could get a replacement mirror? Thanks! ginadestafney@comcast.net

I have a True to Light V lighted mirror that was given to me for Christmas when I was still in high school, which was in 1968. I still have the mirror and still use it every day to put on my makeup. Thought you'd want to know of this good product! Dee Carmes @ deetom7142msn.com or 714-840-5376
