Hi Shi,

That's a great question, and it'll stay up here for the other visitors- I'm sure someone has tried it. Have you heard good things about the product?

What does everyone think about Sheer Miracle mineral makeup?

Hi Lindsey,

Thanks so much for that great tip- I'm sure many will appreciate it!

-- Contributed by: Jacqueline Dautaj

Everyday Minerals is also very affordable and offers free sample kits. They also offer a wide variety of foundation shades. I've been quite happy with them thus far.

Hi Mitsy,

Thanks for taking the time to share with us here- we appreciate it!

Ocean Mist mineral makeup is the best for the price. They offer an inexpensive try-it size kit which includes several shades of foundation, a blush, & a brush if you need one...all for the price of the postage. I will be ordering from them again! :)

Hi R.Yan,

Thanks so much for contributing with us here and for helping others make up their minds!

Musq is one of the purer mineral makeup brands as it has no talc, bismuth, carmine etc. It's the best I've used and lasts for ages!

Actually my daughters used Bare essentials for a time and then we discovered Glominerals...they love it! There skin looks awsome and this line has a wide variety of color...highly recommend.

Hi IFab,

Thanks for sharing that added information with us! Our visitors love that!

I have also used products from INFINITI that are quite nice and reasonably priced. They have a full foundation/blush range to choose from and a couple eyeshadows too. It's worth checking out as well.

Hi Lara,

Thanks so much sharing your experience with us here, and for helping our visitors make a much more informed decision!

I'm a makeup artist and I think that Sheer Cover is fantastic and not too expensive. They have now provided the option of buying the products individually which is better as you don't end up with a lot of unused product. Sheer Cover blends with anything and it is fairly fail safe. If you find it slightly drying you can mix it with moisturizer to make it into a liquid foundation or tint. Also, with mineral makeup less is more. Put some on your brush and then tap off all excess and buff it into your skin a little at a time - this gives the best flawless coverage. The only down side to Sheer Cover is that it is really only a foundation/base range - for eyeshadows etc go elsewhere.

I tried Bare Mineral make up several years ago when I saw the QVC infomercial. I thought the product worked well despite the two color option they send you. It seemed you always ran out of one and not the others, yet the company sent you the same package each time. My largest problem wasn't the product, but the customer service. I wanted to cancel my order and would spend days on end trying to contact the company. I would email with no response. I would call every hour of the day without a person answering the phone. The product kept coming even though I no longer wanted to use it. And my bank account was continually charged. I eventually closed the bank account to stop the payments. As I mentioned earlier, this was about three years ago, so perhaps they have changed.

Hi guys, thanks for the tip! Has anyone used or know where to purchase Bella Pierre mineral makeup? I had tested it on a bride last ssaturday and was very impressed (im a amateur beautician!) so I would like to know anyone elses experiences! Many thanks! Siobhan

Hello, Elixer and Stephanie,

Thanks you for the comments and for sharing the brand with our visitors!

-- Contributed by: Jacqueline Dautaj

Yes I agree, I too have used many brands and I too have been bitterly disappointed when looking for mineral makeup. Claims that they are pure minerals!!! All false....I was recommended Elixer of Eden mineral makeup and was so happy with it that I have recommended it to many friends and family and they too cannot believe the quality of this product. A virtually unknown brand but will definitely be the next big brand in REAL mineral makeup!

-- Contributed by: Stephanie C

100% pure mineral makeup, I have tried all the popular brands. Not one of them is as pure as Elixer of Eden. Please check ingredients, even though its mineral makeup many many add fillers & bismuth to them. Elixer of Eden is the best I have used. flawless, leaves a glow and leaves skin feeling soft and healthy.

I've been using Bare Minerals for 7 months and I love it.It stays on, looks great, and is easy to use.

Hi doesn’t last all day, We also appreciate your tale. Many folks may not know too much about Youngblood, so all of the experiences help the consumer pick the most appropriate product. Thanks again!

Hi Linda,

Thank you for sharing your story here. It always helps visitors to know the experience others have had with Bare Minerals, so thanks again!

I tried Bare Minerals at the mall, & I really liked the way it looked. Unfortunately, by the time I got home, my skin was starting to burn & feel irritated. I couldn't wait to get the stuff off my face. Now I'm looking for a "safer" alternative...

-- Contributed by: Linda

I really wanted to like Youngblood, but when I put it on, it only looks good for a couple of hours. And when I retouch, it makes my skin look dull and gray. It only looks good right on top of moisturizer. I think this brand is only good for oily skin types. My skin is normal and this is too drying for me. And I'm not too impressed with the coverage.

Hi Leigh,

Thank you for contributing that comment here and for giving our visitors even more options- it's much appreciated!

Why isn't faerie organic Minerals on here? I know they are a smaller company but they are the best I've used! They make you look dewy and natural, not cakey or powdery. I have used bare escentuals in the past and I liked them ok, but they made my face itch due to the bismuth oxychloride and I looked very greasy a few hours after application. I like faerie organic as they are really big on being all natural and no animal testing. I would highly recommend them. Check them out! They have great before and after photos of actual people, not models.

Hi Sal,

I think you're absolutely right. Thanks for contributing here!

-- Contributed by: Jacqueline Dautaj

This review really summarized it a lot. Although i'm not seeing sheer cover anywhere here, I know there were a lot of both negative and positive comments on this brand. I guess everyone has to try them out and find one that best suits them since everyone's skin has slight differences.

Hi A,

Thanks so much for sharing that- it's sure to help others, so thank you!

-- Contributed by: Jacqueline Dautaj

L'oreal mineral make-up lists the first ingredient as talc, which can actually lead to more break-outs. I loved the coverage, but hated the zits! =)

Hi Karen,

Thanks so much for contributing your experience here; it will help a lot of folks out there. Thanks again!

The mineral make-up avon sells "Personal Match" is great, as well. My sking looks flawless with it, except I have VERY oily skin, and after a few hours of wearing it- you can tell. It would be a good choice for someone who doesn't have oily skin like mine. It's full-coverage make-up. It makes your skin look like it was air-brushed.

I also use Dr. Dima's Cosminology Mineral Make Up and it is great! It is so easy to use and I never look "cakey or thick". It gives you a very natural look and feel. The added SPF protection is an added bonus!

I use Dr. Dima's Cosminology, it's awesome! It comes in a pressed compact so its easy to apply and put in my purse without all that mess. I love the coverage, it just makes my skin look so perfect. I like that is was created by a doctor and that you can buy it online whenever you want. I also really like all the eyeshadow colors and it feels soo good on my skin.

Hi Susie,

Thanks for sharing your tips with the LTK Makeup community- it's very much appreciated!

-- Contributed by: Jacqueline Dautaj

Application technique is only an issue when the brand like Loreal or Youngblood still has fillers or synthetics. The really pure ones are quick and easy to apply and give a superb result without feeling heavy. Try Australian brand Musq - great range, extensive information, no fillers or artificial ingredients, and super fast delivery.

Tammi,

We do have an article on Sheer Cover, although it is not technically a product review... it may be an interesting read. The other major mineral companies are listed here in this article. You can read back through the comments to see other reader's opinions -- as this has been one of our popular pages! Simply click on the list that says "See All Comments on this article."

Hi Tammi,

Why don't you try our Loreal Mineral Makeup Review? I'm sure you'll find that article pretty helpful. Good luck and we hope you find the best products for you skin out there!

-- Contributed by: Jacqueline Dautaj

Hi, do you have any reviews for sheer cover mineral make up? I currently use it and I do like it but I discovered this site and realized how many other companies are out there for mineral make up. I am thinking of trying another brand. Is there a place that tells what company uses true minerals rather than like the loreal brand that has other ingredients. I have tried barescentuals but it seems to make my face tingle when I have used it. I am going to try it again maybe with a moisturizer first. I love the mineral make up because it tends to help my acne prone break out areas which I do not have since switching over four years ago. I would recommed anyone to use mineral makeup with acne prone areas. I just wanted to see if you had any review on sheer cover and comparing the companies with true mineral use. Thank you Tammi

Kristen, We are so pleased to have you visit Makeup at LoveToKnow. I sincerely appreciate your comments and will leave them on the article for all to view. In evaluating the mineral makeup companies in this article, our writer previewed a large variety of customer opinion sites on the Internet, including Yahoo. I can appreciate that the squeaky wheel is often the loudest, which is why your comment is a treasured addition to the piece. Thank you!

Hello,

I was just sent your link by a customer and wanted to thank you for including Aromaleigh in your article!

I would like to offer information that counters the claim that my company has frequent customer service issues. Customer service issues are few and far between, actually- and when we do have a problem with an order it is quickly remedied. Our greatest problem is that some customers don't read policies (such as that we don't offer returns and instead have a generous sampling policy) and then are angry when we won't accept returns) They then go to internet forums and badmouth our company. This isn't a matter of our providing bad customer service. It is a matter of customers not holding themselves accountable for their own error in reading policies or not ordering the right color or product. That isn't any fault of ours.

Please find a link to our Yahoo Shopping link. We are a Yahoo store. These are third party ratings that are sent to customers by Yahoo! and as you can see, we are a 5 star Yahoo! store. This is the highest possible rating that a store can have, and it is a great honor. These ratings speak for themselves and many are detailed and extensive in describing the stellar service that we provide. As you can also see, there are VERY few bad ratings. These are ratings from our customers themselves, and are untouched by us, as they are through Yahoo! They are not the angry rantings of someone on an internet forum who is mad that we didn't break our policies for them. If we break policies for one customer, we have to do it for everyone. We strive to treat all customers equally across the board.

Please consider changing your article to reflect the truth about Aromaleigh, not the biased and over-emotional rants of a specific group of women on a specific internet forum.

Sincerely,

Kristen Leigh Bell President, Aromaleigh Inc.
