Hi Annie,
Thank you for taking the time to share your opinion on this article. I think both you and Mimi are right, and I think you said it Annie; it really is a personal choice. Thanks again for sharing- we really appreciate it!
-- Contributed by: Jacqueline DautajMimi- you really need to get off your high horse. I'm Asian and was not at all perturbed at the mention of the surgery in this article. Tons of Asian woman get the surgery to appear more "Western" and if they find that putting eye-make up on with creased lids is easier, then they do. Great article and useful tips. Everyone is free to state their opinions and if some people find that their more attractive with breast implants, eye surgery for a crease, or face lift- then so be it. Just let it be.
-- Contributed by: AnnieHi Mimi,
We truly appreciate your comment and understand exactly where you are coming from. We are not advocating any kind of surgery, but many women do have surgery, and we were just presenting it as one more option. Thank you very much for taking the time to share you view point with us here.
-- Contributed by: Jacqueline DautajI liked the tips this article provided, but did not like the suggestion that having a single eyelid was something that women should ever feel the want to correct with surgery, as a way to simplify a makeup routine. The very idea that this quality, which millions of women have, should be anything but embraced is quite disgusting.
-- Contributed by: MimiHi Mikky,
We are so happy that we could help and that these tips came in handy! Thanks so much for taking the time to share with us here and we hope you look and have a fantastic time at homecoming- good luck!
-- Contributed by: Jacqueline DautajThank you very much for these make-up tips! Tonight is homecoming, and I just bought a "enhance the brown" eye kit, and had no idea how to do it with the "single eye-lid" problem and all. (; Ha ha, thanks, this really helped.
-- Contributed by: MikkyHi Michelle,
Thank you for sharing that tip with us here!
-- Contributed by: Jacqueline DautajTechnique is very important in regards to applying makeup. But I've learned that the quality of the makeup is just as important. For me, I use coonobabe makeup. Whether it's the lipstick, foundation, or glosses it's all quality. Check them out. Michelle. ;)

This should be able to help. Thanks for the question!
-- Contributed by: Jacqueline Dautajoops..i mean hi Jacqueline*..
-- Contributed by: joanhi sana,i am a filipino chinese spanish...can u give me tips on eye lashes..i've tried putting fake eye lashes but sometimes its difficult putting it and whenever i'm applying mascara it smerge to upper or lower of my eyes lids.
-- Contributed by: JoanHi Sana,
If your eyes look sleepy, try this:
- Go fierce: That means, draw the eyeliner, right inside of the white of the eye (on the bottom lid).
- Use a highlighter: You can use this either under the brow (to make the yes look more open), or you can apply a silver or gold shadow only to the inner most corner of the eyes (closest to the nose). That ought to help! Thanks for the question!
hi! I am Indian...have wheatish complexion. I got big n beautiful n attractive eyes but they make me look sleepy. They look more beautiful only if i stretch my eyes wide but i cant be doing that all the time. Can you plzz suggest me an eye makeup that can make my eyes look more active? and for all kinds of occasions---like a wedding, office, casual party or daily makeup?
-- Contributed by: Sanahi, i am an Indian...have wheatish complexion. And my eyes are large but they give me a sleepy look. How can i make my eyes look more active?
-- Contributed by: SanaHi Christine,
Who told you you have to wear dark colors? It sounds as if you have gorgeous skin, so play it up with light reflecting shadows. Think about using pale gold, peach or light pink to bring out your eyes.
If you are adventurous, and don't mind being looked at, then consider eyeliners in purple, and blue. You can even go for that "fierce" look with dark eyeliner by placing a bit of silver shadow in the corners of your eyes. Thanks for the question and good luck to you!
-- Contributed by: Jacqueline DautajAlthough I am Asian, dark colors really don't work for me because I have fair skin (I'm even on the lighter spectrum of regular American makeup). What type of color and shade do you suggest for me? Thanks!
-- Contributed by: christineHi Chan,
First, have you tried "prepping" the eye with powder or a similar eye primer? That should help to "set" your eyeliner. As for the mascara, this happens to a lot of women. Why don't you try clear mascara instead? Maybelline Great Lash (about $6) is a great one, and you can buy it at walgreens.com This would be great, because you'll still great mile long lashes, but no smear or tugging. Thanks for the question and good luck!
-- Contributed by: Jacqueline Dautaji'm chinese and i'm in hi school. all i use is eyeliner...but i find it smearing jsut a bit during the day. and i've tried waterproof mascara. same result, except i can't get it off as easily.
-- Contributed by: chan_42Hi OneLove,
We don't endorse eyelid surgery in any way. We are only throwing it out there as another option. Our intention is not to recommend it to others, but to simply present all of the choices out there. Thanks very much for your comment and for sharing your thoughts!
-- Contributed by: Jacqueline DautajPlease. you really shouldn't suggest eyelid surgery...
-- Contributed by: OneLoveHi Aya!
