-- Contributed by: make upHi Sonia,
Have you tried using a "budge-proof" or waterproof formula? That may help with the smudging. I understand what you mean about the using "the browns"; I have brown eyes too and it can sometimes lend that monochromatic look. Here's what to do: Think about using purple or blue eyeliners. It really works to "pop" the eye.
If you are still having trouble with smudging, then turn to lighter shades, like silver, gold or light pink. I use silver/gold pencils on the inner corners of my eyes and it looks fantastic. Try using silver on inner eyes, a taupe or beige color eye shadow on the entire lid (to open up the eye and have a base) and then follow up with clear mascara. That ought to do the trick! I hope this helps, and good luck to you!
-- Contributed by: Jacqueline DautajHello, I am 25. I have big brown eyes. I never learned to put makeup on properly. I love the way I look w/ eyeliner, but unfortunaterly, it doesn't last. It smudges off, and I end up looking tired. I've also been using the same browns which do not make my eyes stand out at all. I could sure use a little help.
Thanks!
-- Contributed by: SoniaHi Taylor,
First we totally understand where your mom is coming from and you ask a great question. That being said, there are a few things you can try:
- Clear Mascara
I did some research for you, and good news! Maybelline Great Lash Clear Mascara is available online at walgreens.com for only $4.79!
- Bone or Light Colored Eye Shadow
You can even use peach or light pink (depending on your skin tone). These are great eye shadows for you because they're pretty without being obvious.
- Eye Lash Curler
You can purchase either the plastic kind or the metal kind. Use this before you put your clear mascara on, and your lashes will be a mile long!
- Sliver or Gold Eye Shadow
You can use this in the corners of your eyes only. This will definitely give your eyes "pop" without being too much.
Just remember, at 13 you always look pretty, young and fresh! Good luck to you and we really hope this helps!
-- Contributed by: Jacqueline Dautajhello, I am 13 and my mom only lets me do light make up & no eye liner could you send me some pictures or tips as to how i can make my eyes "pop" without over doing it. Please thanks
-- Contributed by: TaylorHi Risa,
Great question! The best thing you can do for big eyes is to use dark shadows and/or dark eyeliners. The darker the colors, the better (darker colors tend to make the eyes look smaller, while lighter colors, like pink/malt make the eyes look larger).
You should also try rimming the inside of your eye (underneath) with eyeliner. Try to get as close as you can to the lashes. This will also make your eyes appear smaller. Good luck and we hope this helps!
-- Contributed by: Jacqueline Dautajok so you have the shapes mentioned ex. wide small and narrow eyes but what about eye liner for the big eyes / bug eyed girl lol
