During a period when everyone is holding onto their wallets just a bit more tightly and keeping spending under control (or at least trying to), demand for beauty booty at a discount is greater than ever. I’m very much a part of the group who appreciates reasonably priced goodies, so I was absolutely thrilled when I discovered BeautyTicket.com, an online boutique that stocks premium beauty brands at low, low prices. How low are we talking? Think Sue Devitt eye shadow for under $5 and Yves Saint Laurent nail polish for under $10 – and that’s just a sampling of what’s available.

According to owner Jill Sherman, the concept is pretty simple. “My business partner, Lindsay, and I put our heads together and realized that there was a real market for premium beauty products at a discount – especially with the recession,” she says. “The fashion industry has been doing it for years with sample sales and moving overstocks through stores like Loehmann’s and TJMaxx. We figured there was no reason why it couldn’t work in beauty!”

Naturally, I’m addicted, and I think you will be too after seeing what’s available.
