Get Glossy
by Tanya on November 05, 2009
Intensely shiny lip glosses instantly call attention to your mouth, all while keeping your lips soft and often adding a hint of color (and sometimes even feeding them some very beneficial ingredients in the process). Clearly there’s more to the genius of gloss than meets the eye.
As the holiday season inches ever closer, it’s a great time to reexamine or perhaps even revamp your lip gloss lineup. In lieu of lipsticks, choose a tinted gloss that drenches your pout with hydration and adds just the right amount of color. If you’re a slave to your favorite lipstick, add a coat of gloss on top for the ultimate polished finish.
Fall 2009’s best shades are rich and vibrant (think wines and plums), yet because they’re glosses, anyone can pull them off without the fear of looking garish. Try these brilliant shades:
- LORAC Mocktail:: You can’t ask for anything more playful or sweet than this delightful gloss from LORAC. Infused with the scent of yummy tropical drinks, they give the lips depth and plenty of gleaming, slightly shimmery shine.
- Korres Cherry Full Color Gloss:: I’m a bit of a broken record when it comes to this fantastic gloss. It’s long lasting and imparts just the right amount of color in shades so true to their descriptions.
- Dior Crème de Gloss:: For those who just can’t get enough of their tried-and-true, long-wearing lipsticks, Dior’s Crème de Gloss offers a two-in-one solution. The color is intense and smooth, while the formula is as creamy and rich as your favorite gloss. You can’t go wrong.
