When dressing up as a tainted fairy, don't overlook your makeup. Halloween makeup can complete your outfit and transform you into something special. Tainted fairy makeup is the opposite of what you would use for the basic fairy costume. You will not use pinks and purples but instead will use black for your prominent color. A simple way to do tainted Fairy makeup is to purchase a kit at a Halloween or costume store.

Glitter tattoo

Using The Kit

A makeup kit makes it simple to do your makeup. You will have everything you need for the perfect tainted fairy look. Before applying your makeup be sure that your face is clean and oil free. Use a moisturizer and apply foundation. You may want to use a light color foundation or white makeup on your face since pale skin is the classic gothic look. Then it is time to have fun! To create a tainted fairy look:

Play up your eyes. Your eyes will be one of the most dramatic components of your makeup. Use one of the accent colors in the kit to color your lids.

Then using the black makeup heavily line your eyes both top and bottom. You can use your own black eyeliner if you have one.

Application Tips

Begin with light layers of makeup then add as needed. Applying makeup to thickly can cause it to cake and not look smooth.

Face paint can be drying, so use a balm under it as well when applying to your lips.
