Sephora Shimmer Lip Gloss

My lips pitch a fit in the form of crackly dryness if I don’t keep them kissably soft round the clock. Enter the world of Sephora Shimmer Lip Gloss – now the center of my universe.

One of my first real writing jobs out of college was writing product reviews and beauty advice for a beauty and skincare website. While not exactly the deep thinking and glamorous front page work I was intending on spending my time doing after receiving my education, I have to admit writing about girly things all day long was kind of fun.

With all the brands available to purchase within the shop, I found true lip gloss love in a tube of Sephora’s own brand name shimmer lip gloss. Size? 0.5 ounces. Shade? Hot Coral. Me? Completely excited to run back to the store after work and see whether or not it would become the perfect addition to my beauty bag.

I ended up not only buying my Hot Coral shimmer lip gloss, but I have remained faithful to it for quite sometime now. Usually I am fickle with cosmetics and choose a different brand or product each time a tube of gloss runs out, however, I have purchased this and other Sephora products time and again.

One reason is because I live in a windy valley and have long hair. Any long-locked gal who has ever been caught in a decent breeze knows the annoyance of having strands of hair blow forward and abruptly stick to her mouth thanks to an unfriendly gloss now working as glue.

Sephora shimmer gloss is not sticky and won’t provide you with the aforementioned experience. Another excellent feature of the gloss is its natural selection of colors. Many glosses look fake or as if they are trying too hard. Sephora shimmer lip gloss is definitely noticeable, but gets you attention in a sweet and subtle manner rather than in an “I put my makeup on in the dark” sort of way.

The gloss comes in a classy clear tube with a simple black lid. The packaging is as low drama as the gloss itself, and the squish of the tube makes it easy to find when you are fumbling around in your purse.

I love that even though Sephora sells some pretty pricy goods, their own brand is fairly reasonable. A tube of Hot Coral set me back around $10.00. Since it lasted me a good couple of months, I don’t have any qualms about the price tag.
