In May of 2004, Paris partnered with the Parlux Fragrance House to create her own perfume line. Parlux has been in the scent business for the last twenty years, specializing in the design, manufacturing, marketing and distribution of prestigious fragrances. In addition to the Paris Hilton brand, they currently hold licensing agreements with a variety of name brands including Guess, XOXO, Perry Ellis and more. Even with Parlux’s strong background in the perfume marketplace, they were pleasantly surprised at the success of the Paris Hilton perfume launch. They quickly scheduled a second wider release just before Christmas that same year to match the strong demand.
The scent of the Paris Hilton perfume is a blend of frozen apple, peach nectar, freesia, mimosa, jasmine, sandalwood, ylang ylang and oak moss notes. The overall aroma is described as particularly fresh and tasty. Intended as a casual wear fragrance, it is a moderate strength with a scent life of approximately six to ten hours. As a citrus and fruity classified perfume, it offers a light scent that is not too overpowering. Designed to resemble the persona of Paris Hilton, the fragrance has been described as youthful, yet sexy and chic at the same time. The most recent release from the Paris Hilton Perfume House is their Just Me perfume. Similar in concept to the original Paris Hilton perfume, Just Me was released in 2005. A subtle scent designed for the young sexy socialite. Classified as an oriental and spicy fragrance it contains raspberry, lily of the valley, iris, white rose, vanilla and sandalwood notes. A romantic scent for day or night, the perfume’s life is short at one to five hours, but it sparkles like the champagne in the high society girl’s glass.
