I just wanted to let you know of my experience with the "Loreal Bare Naturale" Powdered Mineral Foundation.
Loreal Mineral Foundation Review
Mineral Makeup Caught My Eye
The first time I discovered mineral makeup was on one of those infomercials (lasting about 30 minutes). The one I saw had Melissa Gilbert in it. I watched the program and found this mineral makeup stuff pretty fascinating with the flawless coverage they talked about and demonstrated. But, when they got down to the part of the price, auto shipments and auto bank/credit card drafts, this discouraged me very much due to Identity theft. Additionally, the price was on the high side for my budget compared to other brands I've come across.
Cost Effective Choice
As a frequent Wal-Mart shopper, I found myself there one day when I was out of makeup. While in the cosmetic department, I saw a display case of Loreal Mineral Makeup Foundations in various skin color tones at the beginning of the makeup isle. It is in a style that comes in a hard plastic type of jar with a built-in brush. Once you remove the clear top off, there is your sifter jar with the mineral makeup. It is basically the exact same process all the others advertise on TV and it provides the exact same flawless finish. Therefore, you get a lot of mineral makeup for a smaller amount of money. I paid $12.50 for a 10 gram jar with the brush included. To me, that’s a bargain. I'm 49 years of age, and have pores showing without any makeup, even with the liquid brands as well; but when I tried the Loreal Brand of Mineral makeup, my face looks and feels great. The whole effect is so much smoother! I was so pleased as now I could buy mineral makeup at a low cost within my budget, where I shop all the time, and not have to worry about ordering online or over the phone.
Application Tips
The following is what I have learned while putting on my makeup today. First I have a clean and dry face. Then I put on a moisturizer and let it set into my skin (I have dry skin). Next, a Cover Girl eraser stick (the one that is in what looks like a lipstick container) under my eyes and any other areas that need concealing. Then I use the Loreal Mineral Makeup Foundation in the same way they direct you in the Sheer Cover infomercial:
- Start with a little on the brush, swirl it on the top of the sifter jar, then hold the brush facing upward towards the ceiling and tap it on the bottom of the jar or bathroom counter.
- Apply it first under each eye and around the top – be sure to close your eyes.
- Then cover the nose and around to the forehead, working down one side the face at a time while brushing in a circular motion until you have covered the jaws and chin.
- Next, I just take a regular eyeliner pencil and run it under my eyelids, put on my favorite mascara, apply a mineral blush on my cheek bones and around the outer corner of my eyes with the small part of half of a cotton ball.
When this is all finished, my face doesn't even feel or look like I have any makeup on. It just looks and feels great! In all honesty, I'll never go back to regular (powder or liquid) makeup again!
Personal Recommendations
I am Caucasian, have medium skin color with yellow skin tone. The color of the Loreal Mineral Foundation I found which looks the best and most natural for me is "Buff Beige". It also has a SPF 19 protection from the sun.
Well, I certainly hope this Loreal Mineral Makeup review has been of some help to anyone who is on a budget like me and wants to get the same results as those expensive brands. I have tried one other from eBay, but it didn't do justice as to what L'Oreal Makeup does for my face!
Thanks for letting me share my opinion and experience with all of you! I've really gotten great compliments from people about my age! They were really shocked when I told them of my real age of 49!
