Juicy Couture Couture Roll On

The Juicy Couture Couture Roll On fragrance is described by the label as the "it girl" scent of the moment. In other words, all of the cool girls are wearing it, and one spritz will transform you into her, too. For trend-happy, fashion-forward women who follow every hot new thing to the letter, this comes as the perfect treat.

About Juicy Couture Fragrances

Once the purveyors of the must-have velour lounge sets, Juicy Couture has evolved into one of the world's biggest fashion and beauty companies. In addition to the aforementioned velour sets, the company designs bold handbags, vivacious jewelry, trendy clothes, sexy shoes and, now, they've welcomed fragrances to the fold. It's a move that makes sense, given the label's immense popularity with young women, and truly with women in a variety of age groups. There just seems to be something fun for everyone in this feminine mix of accessories and apparel.

The Juicy Couture fragrance collection includes:

  • Juicy Couture: The original scent, this flirtatious perfume combines notes of watermelon, green apple, crushed leaves, wild rose, pink passion fruit, vanilla, caramel crème brulee, patchouli and much more. It's as bright and sweet as it sounds, and it's the one that started it all.
  • Viva La Juicy: Just in case you thought they were done after the first one, the Juicy Couture folks released this intriguing blend of wild berries, amber, caramel, vanilla, jasmine, sandalwood, honeysuckle, gardenia, mandarins and praline. Much to the delight of many women, the scent is a unique floral that manages to stand out from the pack, thanks also in part to its fantastic packaging (which includes an enormous pink bow).
  • Couture Couture: Next in line comes Couture Couture, an extravagant mélange of pink grape accord, natural orange flower, mandarin, blushed plum, honeysuckle, jasmine, sandalwood, amber and rich vanilla.

Find the Juicy Couture Couture Roll-On

Though the Juicy Couture Couture Roll On blend may sound a bit complex, it's surprisingly - and perhaps disappointingly to some - not very unusual when it dries down on the skin. I loved the sample I was sent, so I decided to give in and splurge on the $16 Juicy Couture Couture roll-on, a small and adorable little bottle that contains .25 ounces of fragrance.

Couture is a playful, vibrant scent to start. The orangey notes are quite pronounced when it first arrives on the skin, perhaps touched by the faintest hint of honeysuckle, which is at the heart of the fragrance. It's the sweetness, though, that tends to linger the most on my skin. Amber and rich vanilla together are usually quite a jarring, dramatic team that create a sweet partnership, and that's pretty much the case here, too. On my skin, I felt that the dry down occurred very quickly, arriving at the sweet base in no time at all. This was actually fine with me, since vanilla is easily one of my favorite fragrances.

On the downside, the scent does not last quite as long as I had hoped it would. I feel the need to reapply often in order to maintain the fragrance's presence on my skin. What I do love, though, is the fantastic roll-on packaging - this is something I'm generally a big fan of. It's portable, petite and perfect for stashing inside even the smallest little clutch on a glamorous evening out. It's also great for storing inside a desk drawer for after-work touchups.

I'm not sure I agree with the Juicy Couture sentiment that this is the scent for the "it girls" of the world, only because Juicy Couture is such a mainstream brand, and the it girl of the moment probably chooses to wear something that others aren't flocking to at great speeds. Needless to say, since the introduction of Couture, women everywhere have been nabbing bottles of it left and right.

I can't deny I'm a fan of the fragrance, but I'm glad I only invested in the small size instead of splurging on a large bottle ($85). I'll keep it in my purse and use it up, but will likely not repurchase. Staying power is far too important to me, and this, unfortunately, does not hold its own in that department.
