Indian Makeup Tips
Visitor Question
I’m an Indian and I have wheat-brown skin. While I’m not very knowledgeable about makeup, I am very much interested in knowing more about it. Can you help me by telling me some wedding makeup and even casual or party makeup tips? Hopefully you can also give me some suggestions for the color of lipstick for daily use, like the office, casual get together, and formal occasions too? Lastly, but most importantly, I also need some advice about foundation. Can you tell me which to use on my skin so that it gives me a natural look and little fairness.
Regards,
Nusma

Dear Nusma,
Most of all, you want to keep your wedding look as close to how you normally look on a daily basis. But, remember you will be photographed so don’t skip a good coverage foundation, blush and well defined eyes. I highly suggest hiring a professional makeup artist on your wedding day and always do a trial run a few weeks before your big day.
For daily wear, try a medium coverage dual complexion powder and skip the foundation. Try blush only on the apples of your cheeks (smiling helps!). Wear eye shadows in creams, dark brown, even deep plum or gray. For your lips, choose russet or wine tones. Go deeper in the evening with ruby red. For working out at the gym, or just running to the supermarket, try using a concealer under your eyes, loose powder, a little blush, mascara and a sheer lip gloss. You will not look “made up” but will still have a flawless complexion and bright eyes.

Hi Sama,
To be perfectly frank, I'm not sure. The very best thing you can do is to try to get in touch with a beauty company there and ask them. My gut tells me, however, that you probably can. Thanks for your question!
