Clairol is a long-trusted in name in beauty care. Clairol True to Light Mirror
The Clairol lighted makeup mirrors were designed in the "True to Light" series that boasted excellent lighting capabilities. These side-lighted mirrors were improved with subsequent models, resulting in the Clairol LM 8, which features:
- Two side mirrors that have the capacity to fold in or fold out
- Middle swivel mirror with reverse magnification
- Four light settings (day, office, evening, and home)
- Electrical outlet for beauty appliances such as curling iron, straightening iron, or blow dryer
Clairol Anti-Fog Lighted Makeup Mirror
Clairol's Anti-fog Lighted Makeup Mirror is another popular Clairol mirror. It includes a standard mirror with magnification on the reverse and all-purpose lighting for great vision during cosmetic application. This lighted mirror includes a great anti-fog feature that allows you to use it even in steamy bathrooms. It is free-standing, but is also mountable to wall or vanity.
Clairol Shining Star Mirror
The Clairol Shining Star Lighted Makeup Mirror offers two evenly balanced light settings, tilting and angle adjustment, and a trim, lightweight design for everyday use. This oval mirror can be mounted or propped against a wall or vanity to use, and includes an extra long cord for easy access to electrical outlets.
Repairs and Replacements
If you are truly in love with your Clairol Lighted Makeup Mirror and it is need of repair, you may be able to contact a small-appliances service repair person to access the problem. Due to the accessibility and number of cosmetic mirrors today, however, it may be less costly to just purchase a new one.
Parts and replacement bulbs may also be difficult to find. Interlight advertises a miniature fluorescent replacement bulb that may fit some models of the Clairol True to Light mirrors.

-- Contributed by: Jacqueline Dautaji have a real replacement for the f6t5/ttl used in these mirrors. they are vitalite full spectrum 5000k 96 cri and have the same color rendering of the original. $5 ea i got these from a place that went under who repaired photo light tables. hope this helps someone who wants to fix their unit rather than replace it.
