To create a unique special effect, consider using a glow in the dark face paint and outline the cat in the night gleaming paint.

Full Face Techniques

If you'd rather go the route of morphing into a black cat for full dress-up fun, you'll need to hone in on a few more skills while gathering a bit more essential supplies, including creativity!

  • How To:

Prior to creating your cat face, you'll need to thoroughly cleanse the skin to remove excess oil, which can affect the application and staying power of the face paint.

With a moistened sponge, apply black face paint liberally, covering the entire face, forehead, jaw line, and throat if necessary. Once the paint is applied, you'll need to choose a highlighting color to help define the cat eye face and whiskers. To stay as true to a black cat as possible, consider using a dark grey paint for the remainder of the instructions. Using your pre-moistened sponge, gently tap the accent paint onto eyelids and up into the brow line. With a small brush, define the lines to create interest.

Once the eyelids are painted, work around the mouth creating a defined upper lid applied in the same accent color. Once paint is dry, you can create small dots and black whiskers directly on top of the grey paint. For the cats nose, paint a small upside triangle on top of the black face in any accent color. White is a unique way to create interest with your mysterious cat face design, while yellow, bright green or blue will add an exotic spin to your look.
